The mycorrhizal-associated nutrient economy (MANE) frameworkというのは"Collectively, the results from Moores Creek suggest that distinct trait-integrated biogeochemical syndromes in AM and ECM stands may exist as a result of differences in their ‘nutrient economies’ (i.e. the primary forms of nutrients utilized by plants and microbes)."とのことだけれども，一言でまとめてもらっているのでありがたいことです。Read and Smithで展開されていることが一言で。つまりはinorganic nutrient economyとorganic nutrient economyという違いなのだけれども。
斜面上とか下とかやる人は当然知っておくべきものの見方です。環境傾度でももちろんそうだけど。久しぶりにラボ全員に読ませようと思う論文かも。
